Yes, the injectors get alot louder and cacklier when you switch programs. Even though youre not supposed to do it, change from stock to a performance program under light throttle, you can really hear it change. What it is doing is ramping the Injector Control Pressure up alot higher.
i can hear my injectors knocking in the 80 and 120 setting...that seems a little high on the egt...i have a 4" dp to a 5" rest of the exhaust and i run around 650 on flat going 70-75...i also have my sensor in the up pipe so that can account for the lower reading of the egt...
Cool...thats what I thought just want to be sure something bad wasn't happening..lol, yeah when I changed programs I wasn't on the throttle. I would let off and then change then get back on it.
Thx alot...Schlepprock
those "slight" upgrades really affect the egt's...i don't try to watch the gauge constantly while driving but sometimes ill see it coming down from 750 after a small upgrade, so that'll do it.
mine will generally hover around 650 at highway speeds, but can ramp up to 850 easily with even half throttle.....won't go over 900 unless I really get on it. This is with probe installed in exhaust manifold....
