Any Ideas
Gotta problem, after truck sets even for 2-3days starts ok but within 1/2mile do the road starts losing power then white smoke rolls out exhaust. If I let off it dies keep pushing it, it will come out of it and be fine rest of the day.In december I replaced hpop and had fuel canister off and all necessary thing to make swap.I think it's leaking fuel out then getting air in system.I haven't removed lid on filter yet to see if low(tomorrow).I have seen some wet fuel under regulator thinking maybe time to rebiuld fpr.Any thoughts welcome.I haven't really investagated this problem yet just throwing it out.

The first time I noticed this it would start but died when I let it warm up (32*+/-), I do have a guage haven't hooked up yet to see if presure falls off, that's part of tomorrows schedule. The hose isn't long enough to try and drive it but hopefully with the help of my 14yr old apprentice I can get rpm up enough to consume fuel while I watch.I don't think transfer pump is bad as it runs fine after 1-2miles.

White smoke:
Caused by unburned fuel passing through the engine. Some white smoke is normal on cold start-ups.
Excessive white smoke could be an indication of inoperative glow plugs, loose injectors, low compression from worn rings or bent connecting rods, or coolant leak into the cylinders--head gasket or injector well sleeves.
Blue/white smoke:
Caused by insufficient fuel or oil consumption. Normal when engine is cold or idling for extended periods.
Excessive smoke could be caused by air in the fuel, contaminated fuel, loose or plugged injectors, worn or leaking injector o-rings, thermostat stuck open, oil consumption, or plugged crankcase depression regulator valve. Also PCM inputs such as MAP or ICP sensors.
Inj torque is 120in lbs.
Note: The 80psi idle fuel pressure in your sig stands true?
Issue is on the 96 or the 97?
First i would remove the 10K mod.

It runs ok for the first 1/4 mile then starts to lose power.I hadn't thought of hpop but I would think that would also cause hard starting. It does seem to start normally, just getting under load after 1/4mile.It was fine until it sat for about 5weeks in february/march(maybe jealous of my civic). Then tried running in march and problem continued even on 75*day.I really think fuel but deffinetly due for oil change. This weekend...baby needs attention.
