well i rented the tool, a GODSEND. got all but one out. got to the last u joint and 2 of the clips broke off in the yoke . Of course the 2 that broke off are on opposite ends of the joint so i cant just push it out one way or the other and pull the clip out after pushing it. i was thinking about getting a pick set and trying to pry it out, any one have any advice before i try that. waiting out the weather before i go for the last one. massive pop up storm, nickel and larger hail ect... thanks for all the help so far.
got the changed finally... ghettoed them out. can-o-ether and a lighter make one hell of a torch... but got them changed. thanks for all the help and suggestions guys.
I've changed a sitt load of u-joints in my day, but this must be the joints from hell. Dang! I may have turned the air into blue-cheese a time or two changing them it was never anything like this.
