body hammer question
I'm new to this bodywork thing and have a question about a hammer I saw and wish I had bought. It was made by Martin, had a fairly long handle, and a very unusual head. The head was shaped like a teardrop- with a point on one end, rounded on the other. The whole head was probably only 2 or 2.5 inches long. I saw it at a swap meet and had already spent my fun money, so I didn't get it, thinking I would be able to find another when I got home. No luck. Eastwood is the only place I have found that carries this brand of hammers and they don't have this particular one, and I haven't been able to find another like it from a different maker. ANy ideas on where I might find one? I think it will come in handy for some of the work I can't get with my usual hammers. Thanks.

body hammer question
sounds like a medium pick hammer. snap-on makes a variety of body hammers for around 30-40 bucks a pop. craftsman's professional catalog also has body hammer sets for a little less. after using some cheaper hammers, i'd recommend the snap-on ones...
