This trucks looked the same for the past 19 years (we got it when i was 7)we have owned it Ive grown to love the multi hued look of it through the years but the truck has some areas that need some attention before they turn into problems.Guess im just worried if i do change the look it will loose that special feeling i get when i drive it.I guess my question is do i fix it now or wait till some of the areas get worse?
Ive been trying to clean and paint other areas or the truck while leaving the body as is but i know i need to eventually fix it right.
I'd say if you have the time and cash, I would fix it now. If you wait until things get worse, It may be more time and money. When it comes to rust, time is valuable. I'd rather have a small hole to fix than a large hole. I don't think you'll lose the feeling, you'll just gain a new feeling combined with the old. Nice truck BTW.
Another fix vote.
Bringing it back, and giving a new look on life will bring an even bigger smile.
Something about the first drive in a project that is unforgetable.
Yeah, fix it.
Good lookin truck!
Fix her now, easier and cheaper than waiting. And it won't lose the feeling. I was also 7 when Dad's 77 supercab arrived home and I still feel like a kid when we take her out.
i agree with everyone fix it now. the truck still has a real straight body from the pics. of course those other feelings may go away but wouldn't you rather be riding in style with no rust than anything else? oh and by the way i love those rims they look great!!!
