Removing Bed from F150

How much does the bed on an F150 (1986 Styleside) weigh? I gotta remove, or at least move back the damn thing and I will be by myself. Any hints?

Thanks,

Chuck

I don't know how much it weighs, but I do know that because of its weight and shape, it's not safe (and not possible) to do it by yourself unelss you have some lifting equipment. If you don't have any lifting equipment, the proper way is to grab 3 neighbors and have one person on each corner. If you have a cherry picker you can get creative.

This question isn't particularly inline 6 specific; if you post it in the area for your year truck, you will probably get some more helpful responses from people with your same setup.

Not what I wanted to hear but I do thank you. I guess I knew it but was hoping for something different. How 'bout if I just moved it back a foot or so to do some straightening work on the front of the box?

Thanks,

Chuck
