Help me decide!?

I just purchased a Quadzilla performance monster air intake for my 6.0 diesel. My friend says the air intake will hurt the truck by yes allowing more air to enter as well as more air particles into the turbo since its not as protected as the original intake and also can mess up the computers sensors somehow. Now im a little paranoid about it, should i leave it stock?

Welcome to FTE. What kind of mods do you have in your truck? The stock air filter assembly in the 6.0 flows a good amount of air and filters well for a long period of time. Unless you've added a bunch of horsepower I'd stick with the stock intake.

We do have a 6.0 specific section here. You might ask the other guys with your motor. Tell them exactly what you've done to the truck so far, and what you're future plans are and they'll take care of you.

Here's a link to the 6.0 section. 2003 - 2007 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

As I understand it, only an over-oiled filter would "hurt" the engine's sensor by fouling it with oil. Ask the smokers, they'll set you straight
