460 Cold Air Intake

i'm thinking of fabricating my own cold air intake. it's a dual throttle body. i was thinking of getting the intake pipes directed towards the front of the truck, both with filters on the end. and, i was thinking of using the fan on the engine as a forced air induction type deal. so the fan will be blowing its air onto the intake. how good do you think this will be?

Well, with them tucked over in the corner in the stock air box it's getting warm air. But if you stick them behind the fan and use the fan to blow air into them you'll be blowing hot (180-195 degree) air into the filters. You'll probably gain flow, but you'll lose power with the hotter air. But if you put scoops or something in the hood so it got fresh air, I don't think it'd be that bad.
