Well, hello, welcome to the site. I think you have it confused, i hope you are NOT using your bumper to pull anything more than a drunk guy on a snow tube in the grass! Does your truck not have a 2x2" square receiver below the bumper?

is the ball mounted on the bumper???? You should have it to the hitch.....which wouldn't matter what bumper is on the truck. I am not familiar with Top Gun bumpers, but I know I've never seen anybody tow anything heavy when the ball was mounted on the bumper. Not safe!

NO,the truck bumper came with a 2x2 hitch reciver that had been mounted to the top of it with 4 5/8 bolts that covered the existing hole for the ball mount. It looks extremely strong, but looks can be decieving,I asked Vans trailers in AZ if it was strong enough and the guy said,no problem and the same from a experienced tower.

Unless it is a step bumper, ie., one that is mounted directly to the frame the same way that a standard Class V hitch would be, then NO, it would not be strong enough to pull that kind of weight. It sounds like you need to get a standard Class V receiver hitch, but that is just my .02.

Unless the receiver is mounted directly 2 the frame ( From what im getting its not ) you have No more weight carrying capacity than a stock bumper which isn't nearly enough 2 pull what u want 2 pull Do urself a favor and go get a class IV or V receiver...

The bumper has 4- 1/2 bolts on each side just like the hitch used for towing but not in the same spots, the bumper looks to be overkill, but I dont want to kill anyone just by guessing,so I will contact TOP GUN tommorrow, thanks everyone

Dont know where you live but around here towing anything with a bumper is not DOT approved... Unless it is a class rated hitch mounted through a after market bumper... just my .02 good luck.

I would'nt trust anything but a class V hitch for a 10.5K (dry) toyhauler. I would think your max weight on that would be well over 12K. Get a good class V and have the confidence to tow that trailer.
