Overhead Console, Reading 11.5 MPG

Since I got the lie-o-meter fixed it is reading 11.5 MPG, I drove it over 200 miles today, staying under 2000 most of the time, it had to be getting better MPG than that. Is there a sensor that computes this or something? Thanks

Take and hold both buttons down to reset it. It still wont be right, but maybe it will be closer.

when mine was reading 12 i was actually getting about 18 sooo i wouldnt trust it now it says 14.2 and i got 16 (pullin trailer) so it swings both ways i rekon main deal is i wouldnt trust it.

The best thing to do to fix that is to turn it to the outside temp setting and leave it because the rest of it is way off.

they don't call that the "Lie-O-meter" for nuthin! It's easy enough to calculate your mileage on your own. Miles/gallons= MPG

ha ha aint that the truth and ya know sometimes the temp is even off

Mine shows 22 - 23 MPG. So I will keep it,even if it is not completely correct.....

If you want the Lie-O-Meter to read higher, just install Jody's 40HP Tow PCM...the Lie-O-Meter went from 16 mpg to 23 mpg...my true fuel mileage actually stayed about the same. It really blows people away when they get in the truck, until I share the sad truth with them from my spreadsheet - 13.73 mpg over three years (17 empty and 10 towing my loaded trailers).
