I think the supercharger off a supercoupe would be very hard to use because it mounts directly to the intake manifold of a V-6. I think your best be would be to use a centerfugial type designed for a 302 because the displacements are close. No matter what route you go it is going to involve a lot of custom work and isn't going to be cheap, unless you kind find a kit but I have never seen one for the 4.9L.

It is an 87. the top is already off, I just mounted a roof rack for the spare tire and anything else I dont want in the back. I used it to haul steel two weeks ago (3280 lbs.)
withuot a trailer. If I want to haul more on a trailer I will need a little extra grunt out of my 300 6. also I am putting in a rollbar to stiffen up the body so that I can get rid of the stock doors and put in tube steel doors.
I was hoping to get more low end torque not high end horsepower, I think a blower would fit my needs better than a turbo. I was thinking about using one off of a corrado g60 and overdriving it to compensate for the lower revs.
no matter what way you decide to beef up your inline it is going to be a big challenge. Yes a supercharger would give you more low end however the 300 six is already a low end torque machine. If you decide to go with a turbo however you could have it spool up at a lower rpm to give you more of a low end bump depending on your turbo. Eigther way you are going to see significant torque gains but not as much with horse power. A turbo project has already been done on this website if you want to try looking for it.
