I have a 2000 F150 xlt 5.4. I just bought it a couple of weeks back and was flushing the ps fluid the other day. I sucked out the resevoir and filled it back up with power steering fluid. I did this a number of times, using about a quarter of a quart each time. i used two full quarts of ps fluid. The cap says power steering fluid. that was a week ago. today I overheard some one say something about atf in ford's power steering. DID I SCREW UP? WHAT SHOULD I DO? Any and all help will be appreciated. thanks.

Reason: can't spell
I did the same thing when i put on my power steering pump..but i drained it back out and put atf back in.
At work we just add normal power steering to the atf, and havent messed anything up..
Im sure if you put decent power steering fluid in, you would be fine.
Does anybody know why the recommend fluid is ATF for the power steering?
