Power steering fluid
What kind of power steering fluid do we use? I know the brakes are hooked into the power steering. Do you use power steering fluid or brake fluid? Thanks.

i think our trucks actually take atf......... mercon fwiw
atf/ power steering fluid are both very similar in properties... i read a great thread about this the other day on which was better.. i'll pm it to ya as it wasnt here.

Thanks guys! Isnt atf mercon the same thing you use in the zf 5spd? Synthetic of course. If it is the same do I use synthetic or regular atf??

Do you know if fill the power steering fluid (96 explorer) atf mercon fluid, is it still safe to add Lucas Power steering additive?
