Hi folks...
I have a 97 Ranger won't idle code P0102. Replaced MAF, no difference.
If I drive for awhile by gooseing the pedal, it will settle down and drive OK.
But if you shut it off you go thru the same ordeal.
Now I checked the VOLTAGE at the MAF connector and have only
about 15 millivolts reading.
Is it possible the PCM is shot? Seeing how the sensor connects directly
to the PCM.
Did you reset PCM? The advise here is to leave the neg. battery terminal off for as much as 20 minutes? I'm not sure if this will correct the behavior but it won't cost you a penny! After restarting you will have to drive around a little in order for the PCM to retrain itself!
in reference to 97 ranger won't idle did you find problem if so what did you find out please answer me at jlessey1@att.net thanks j. lessey
