Not sure if it was an option but it was on the truck when I bought it... I had a pretty nice set-up of step bar lights... they ran the full length under each door... and anyhow the bulbs started to blow one by one. Till I have basically non left.
I bought the recon light striping 62in... I thought it would look cooler w the blinkers.. and well the light strip isent long enough!!! WTF right...
I guess I should have measured it before buying but I figure something that says it fits a 4 door f-350 and has a pic would actually work right.. But I guess thats not the case...
So my question is, has anyone found a place to purchase a NICE set of Big Rig step bar lights that actually run the total distance of the step bar and not 12 in. short?
o and are was there an option for the truck and I just so happened to have it on the truck before hand when I bought it? so does ford offer these? Because they were truely the best looking pair I have scene... Maybe not the best working though lol
no one makes them i have the 62" on my '92 and thier to short they whouldn't be that hard to extend, but thier a POS i have been in to mine once already cause i had a rock fly up and broke it and killed half the light bar so i had to rewire to bypass the break, ive only had them like 7 months and led's are starting to go out already when ever i get bord i'll buy a nother set and cut down the old ones run the entire lenght of the cab.
i dont care for the strips..when a couple bulbs go out..you need to replace the whole stip for the price of 50-70 bucks..i got 10 big truck side markers with 6 LED bulbs in each light...they shine the ground up nice and if one blows..10 bucks later its fixed....
Thats a good Idea... I'm gonna head to the truck shop out by my town today and see what I can find...
Thanks for the info,
Alex
any time..glad i could help..i made the plate they are mounted to..its black drip edge for roofing from home depot..i cut it down..mounted the lights on it and screwed it into the rocker panel...that way i didnt make a bunch of holes in the running board....
