I am looking to add some kinda of lighting to under the door near the steps on my nerf bars on my 08 F350. I thought about some rope lighting but not sure which. I don't want it to look like a tractor trailer with small lights all along. Just something simple and not seen.
I installed 2 surface mount lights on each rocker panel. They are connected to the interior auto lighting circuit. They are on any time interior dome lights are on. Works great and looks good IMO. Took about 3 hours to install. Have had them for about 2-1/2 years with no problems - no lamp failures. Check my sig.
rope lights look good till they start burning out in differnt spots..to make them look again you need to spend 50 - 70 bucks... these lights are only 10 bucks a piece or a set of 10 for $85.. the link in the other thread has a bunch of differnt LED's..they do have some that are as small as bolt head..https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...ting-kits.html
