Tires

Im in the process of getting my 77 2wd flairside fixed up. I found some nice looking aluminum 15x8" wheels for it, but I need tires. Im not sure what size I need, I want to run something like the BFG Radial TA, but I dont want a really big or a really small sidewall. Any ideas on size would be great.

8" wheels can go up to about 265 width
the side wall is dependant on the aspect ratio
the 85, 75, 70, 60, part of the tire size
a 255 70 15 tire will look good
as will a 265 70 15
personally I prefer a 60 or 65 series myself
just my 1960's upbringing on G60 15's

Im thinkin a 255/60R15 might work pretty well from what Ive been finding. I just remember a 72 Chevy pickup, 2wd that a buddy had in high school, had the rally style steel wheels and a fairly wide lower profile tire on it. Wish I had pictures, but thats the look Im wanting to go for.
