Question Tekonsha P3 brake controller.

I just received my brake controller, and I want to ask if I could position it in an almost vertical position? I want to reduce the distance between the dash en the controller and get more space in the cab.

Thanks in advance.

Unhappy

Thanks friends. TJ in the instructions they say that should be in an horizontal plane viewing the fase of the controller and in parallel with the midline of the truck, but nothing about horizontal or vertical viewing fron back to front. I have seen here some pics and seems that they are a little inclined but Im not sure, thats why as asked. and they say that the controller itself adjusts if you are uphill or downhill, maybe it doesnt mater if its horizontal or inclined.

Those Tekonsha units sure are nice, well worth the extra cash. You'll like it. I put one in the wife's Excursion and it sure is smooth compared to the regular old fashioned controller in my pickup. I need to update the harness in the pickup so I can just borrow her controller.

Jose, That's the beauty of the digital brake controllers like yours. No need to worry about setting the horizontal for an incline. It senses where level is unlike the type I have....always needs adjustment, especially when I bump it and didn't notice

I'm getting tired of constantly fooling around with it...I'm getting one.

Talking

Thanks amigos for your input, I also asked this in the Towing forums and the answer was, that it could be from 0-70 degrees, like the prodigy, but no one has read that in some paper or on line instructions (for the P3), I watched the DVD and also there, they dont mention that, they say: read it in the instructions paper. In the DVD they install the control in an inclined position, and I just did it in the similar position, also some mentioned that the screen display will show you an ad if it is in wrong position , I didn see anything, at least as I installed.

thanks againg
