2001 E250 Brake Controller Question

I am going to be borrowing a friends trailer with electric Brakes. I am sure I need to buy a brake controller. I like the Prodigy. They sell an adaptor for Ford vehicles from 1996-2004 etc. that will plug into a harness under the dash. I beleive this harness only exists on vans that have a tow package but I am not positive of this.

How can I tell if I have this connector?

If I don;t have it, How do I install the brake controller?

Thanks
JOhn

You may still have the plug in under your dash. Look under center area of dash. It'll prob be tied up to another wire bundle. Instructions are in the Prodegy package. If it isn't there, you'll have to "hard wire" it into your lighting system. Again, the instructions are in there.

On the vans the connector is near the parking brake pedal.
