I bought a parts truck a time ago (1988). I have started the engine, and it seems to run just fine
. ( I have not been driving it because the ZF5 is laying in the bed) But I noticed that the engine seems to have its original paint; which is blue. I tought these engines was painted gray when they where new??
Another thing I noticed was that the label on the valve cover told me that the stroke is shorter then in my 1991. (Dòn`t remember the numbers, but it sure is a difference)
What does this tell you ?
Has this engine been delivered for marine use, and then been swapped into this car?
