If you have to scratch-build/fab your own trans. mount make sure you use some kind of rubber, poly-urethane or even better: poly-graphite isolators or you will have your teeth and eyeballs shaken out of your head!
This may be an obvious thing but I went to help a friend tune his Bosch rotory pump on the Cummins he just put in his rock crawler. He made good use of his buddy's tubing-bender and built a really nice cradle-type mount for his trans./x-case but no isolators and MAN DID IT SHAKE! For the motor he made use of the factory Dodge p/u motor mounts but that was nowhere near sufficient.
It's fixed now and it works awesome but it blew me away that someone with his fabricating skills missed something so obvious.
