It hit $123.9 in Peterborough this morning. I have to take the truck to the cottage this weekend so we will see how it does. Usually that trip ( when gas is around $1.00/L) costs me $50.00 to $54.00 . I am expecting it to be well over $60

It's $121.9 in Peterboruogh this morning. I took the truck up to the cottage on the weekend. The lowest price I saw between Peterborough and Pembroke was $118.9 the highest $122.9
Even still it cost me $62.00 for a round trip... usually costs $54.00

Prices here dropped a couple cents AFTER I filled the truck, of course. And they also went up just before I filled it.

If diesel does hit $1.40/L this year I can't wait to see what heating oil is going to be. I put in a new oil furnace in January... should have went to propane.

Yeah, it will make the payback on a natural gas furnace much better. I'm on oil right now too. Also make my new insulation and windows pay back faster too.

Well it cost me $800 for for oil the last heating season (Oct 2007 to May 2008) so at the moment I can expect a 20% increase next year. NG is not an option up at the "Retreat" so I am looking at a Wood Pellet stove as a back up. One of my cousins heats his house with one and it's really cheap to operate and you can run it off a generator if the Hydro goes out.
