I got lucky and filled up at $1.12 on Friday, Saturday it jumped up to around 1.17/1.18.
Weathers getting nice though, I can start riding my bike since I don't live all that far from work.
Cost me $53 to fill my Focus last night @ 1.201/L. That's the most it's cost me to fill it since hurricane Katrina. I fear this may be the beginning of a bad recession for us here in SW Ontario. I'm glad I'm in farm equipment manufacturing right now, because we're booming.
Anyone have an E85 pump @ a station near them? What's the price of that relative to gas? My new truck has the FFV engine so I'd love to try it if it's cheaper. If it's not cheaper then I couldn't be bothered.
I hear you on the recession Chad, economically looking at it a change from 1-1.50/L is basically a 50% rise in fuel costs...on an annual basis that is rather hard on the pocket.
It hurts when you see the posts about people selling there trucks and buying econo boxes because of gas...it seems where I live there are more guys wearing suits to work driving the trucks and the guys in jeans are driving econo boxes
Yep! It's gonna hurt.
To think oil was just over $20.00/bbl in 2002 and now, today, it's over $119.00/bbl.
I believe we are witnessing the take over of the USA by Oil Rich, Foreign Investors using money they are gouging from North American Drivers. It's been proven that there is no support for these prices and, sooner or later, it has to come crashing down.I just hope I am not "under it" when it does.
1.20 a litre this morning on Wayne Gretzky Parkway,in Brantford.Gotta gas up tomorrow Iam hoping its gone down a tad....but Iam not complaining after reading your price Fomoko1...
Oh and if anyone doesn't have one you should try to get a Canadian Tire Gas Advantage card, you get $0.10/L off of all canadian tire gas bar gas (sorry not diesel) so long as you spend $1000/month on the card...put utilities / groceries on the card and it's not to hard to hit $1000. Oh if you spend less then that you get a discount just not as much. No CT gas bars near me these days though...and driving distance to save money on gas kind of defeats the purpose
If you buy gas at Safeway Fuel Bar, you can save 7c /liter with a $35 purchase on your safeway clubcard. I got gas at 109.4 in Mission BC on Sunday.. although $100 only got me My rear tank full, my front tank 3/4 full, and cost me 1/4 tank to drive back home (70 kilometers)
