to me it sounds too much like a trans issue. you really need to put somone in the truck that knows something and get the issue to duplicate even if that means letting it sit at a dealer and you going down in the morning. you cant throw parts at these trucks, and just becasue you get a code, doesnt mean you can replace that part all the time. you need to collect all the information and go from there.
by chance did they "top" off the tranny fluid. if they didnt use the right fluid it will kill the torqshift in a heartbeat.
thank you bowtiehater,
but if it was a trans issue, why would it happen after the engine oil drained out? i ahve read alot of your advice on other issues so i know you know what your tlaking about. but my transny, on a good day works wonderfully at times, so i know it has the capability. the engine jsut seems to be the one gettin mixed signals of sorts.
fxlbalto: "I wouldn't let Jiffy Lube work on my rusty old lawn mower. My daughter used them once several years back after I had told her over & over again. At any rate after the plug fell out & the engine seized it cost a little over $4k at the Ford dealer. Lawsuit is still pending..............."
Same thing happened to a friend of mine. A young kid was doing the oil change and he didn't tighten the bolt enough. My friend's ford ranger seized on I-4 50 miles from nowhere. It was a bad situation. Jiffy lube bought him a "used" engine with about 35,000 miles on it, installed by ford. His truck was never the same after that. He traded it in on a new truck.

This really must be your next step!
I know the engine will de-fuel at a high coolant temperature, I just can't recall if it would on a high tranny temp also.
i failed to mention that my glow plug light flashes on when the engine cuts out for a moment, sometime a puff of smoke fomr the tailpipe.
when it cuts off, if feels like only a lil bit of fuel is spraying, no matter hos hard i mash the pedal, the acceleration is so miniscule, so i have to let off the gas for 2 seconds to let it reset its self and it will go again
WOOOHOOOO through other posts, green monster had the same problem to the T, the ICP and the harness to it.... i called the dealer and it is covered under the 100k warranty!!!! thank you green monster and bowtie hater for helping me troubleshoot. iw ill let you know what happens after the dealer, i am going to walk in and ask them to replace these two things and hopefully i can get it done right this time....
