Finally Fixed by New Dealer what Old Dealer Screwed up
Ok this is going to be a ramble cause I ma fri&&in mad.
MIllbury Ford Mercury in Auburn,MA ( can I name them not sure don't care really) "repaired " my truck under ford's 100k warranty bad ICP sensor in JAN of 07 the 30th to be exact (1 year ago) The tech installed a new ICP and harness. Problem is he never tsecured or tied back the harness wire properly so the wire was laying on the crossover pipe and melted right through.
Lamoureux Ford after 3 visits finally figured it out ( no icp code was ever thrown) Only problem is they replaced my fuel pump to the tune of $600 because when they tested it ( with unknown melting ICP) it tested bad. Now I have yet to recieve the bill from Lamoureux for the new repair of the ICP and I expressed to them my concerns over who, what where, why, when, & how.
They really have been good to me so far and I am speaking wit hthe service manager in the morning to sort out who should be paying or reimbursing me for these repairs.
IMHO I believe it should be FOMOCO or Millbury because FOMOCO paid for the warranty and Millbury performed the shoody work. I do not want to go after the dealer ( for fuel pump and new ICP + labor for both + rental )that has been working to make me happy has been 100% honest with me and is working with me. I know I will pay them to get my ruck back but???
well its good to hear you got the truck fixed! That blows about the ****ty work from a year ago, hopefully someone will cough up some dough and reamburse you!
I really think lam ford will help me out as best than can, they really have been honest and fair so I will work with them to solve this problem instead of against them.
