Trany Leak
So finally got the engine installed and running. Wow what a difference from a 360 to 390. I learned a lot. Had a few beers too! Anyway, now that i have it running, it appears the trany is leaking from the base of the dip stick. I have trany fluid all over the floor, and the highest spot with trany fluid is where the dip stick mates to the trany. Any one have this issue before? I have been looking online for a seal, and i can't find it.

If you have the C6 or FMX, there is an o-ring that goes around the base of the dipstick tube, or you can use RTV.
If it's a C4 with pan fill, you need to use RTV at the tube junction with the two piece tube.
Make sure the tab on the dipstick tube is on one of the bellhousing bolts, or it will leak no matter what you do.
