Would like to know what car it comes from at least.
I know for a fact as well as Dennis, that, that clock is not factory, it's a addition somewhere along the trucks life. Where would the factory or dealer air go if it was installed too?
Ah, 81 solved the mistery. It's a clock and trim used from another car, which could have bbeen factory installed as requested/ordered.
Army, I truly have a fascination gathering any info I can about my trucks. Being they are one ton duallies, a former workhorse for some company. I would write that logging company, if it still exists or can find out the owner, a letter reqquesting any info about the truck. Also noting the clock, if it was specified on the order and why. (The fellow never wore a watch, or the owner knew the driver was never on time) Might have a good tale to tell.
Was a clock like yours availlable on other '77 or earlier Ford cars?
It would be dealership at the very least and they CAN'T or don't do stuff like that because they have to use FORD parts.
The wiring would tell the truth.
They could have taken it to a dealership later in the trucks life but that would be nuts.
$60/hr to do that.
Please post a photo of the clock Face and the clock wiring ..so I can see it.
Mil1ion I'm trying to get a picture of it the wiring will be hard cause I'm not tearing it out less it is when I change my cab. I'm in Iraq at the moment and am trying to get my friend to stop by my garage and take pictures for me. Yes I have seen the same clock in other Fords. As son as I get some one to mail me a picture it will be posted!! What were the options for fleet vehicles?
The clock could have been grafted into the dash no problem but Unless I can actually the clock and it's bezel close up I can't tell what vehicle it came from.
