Ball Joint Headache

Well I know this subject has been beaten to death. I searched all the posts for ball joints hoping to find a consensus about replacement ball joints. I have a 2004 4x4 F250. I was thinking MOOG, but ran into to many posts with drivers unhappy with the stiffness. A lot also love MOOG. OEM would be ok if they have greese fittings, but OEM are more money. The other option I saw was the premium ones that NAPA sells. They have fittings and are reasonably priced. I haven't seen any one complain about them.

I have 63k miles on the origional set.

Any last words on this delema???

Thanks,
Ring

I have installed about 30 of the carquest brand in the past couple of years in both my truck and alot of the company trucks and have had no issues. They are stiff when first installed but loosen up as you drive and within 100 miles they are fine. I would rather have a tight tollerance than a loose one.

As far as the moogs, my right sides are moogs and had no problems with stiffness. The left side were replaced with Moogs a year later and they were too stiff. So it's a toss up with me with moogs.

NAPA seems interesting. I have always had good luck with all NAPA parts that were not imported. I see more and more stuff from china being sold at NAPA. When I did brakes on my gals escape I baught the rotors at NAPA they asked me if I wanted made in the USA or imported. I said what was the difference. They said $50 cheaper for the imported. I said give me made in the USA for $50 more.

I bought the more expensive greaseable ones from NAPA. They have the blue grease boots. They seem fine to me. They are made in the USA.
