This is getting good, If you hooked up a wvo system in your garage and on your truck, the whole reason your spending all that money is to save yourself pump prices, correct. Your missing the point.
You are saving money on pump fuel. All I am saying is that you damage the road and so you should be made to pay for it. There are 2 components to the fuel price. Road tax and fuel cost. Together they make up what each gallon is worth. Save the fuel part for all I care. The road tax part is where I have a beef. After all, why should the rest of us pay for your damage?
So where is the argument? You were supposed to pay for the road damage.
Why? Why do you deserve a break?
So what? That means that you cause no wear and tear?
Come on man, You spend 3,000 dollars to hook up a wvo system to try to save money. Everybody pays and i,m no different, my argument is why spend all that money if your going to be taxed on it. I guess everybody that goes for the wvo setup you got a beef with.

So what you are saying is that it is not enough that you are getting discounted or near free fuel but you also want to skip on the road tax and the rest of us have to foot the bill? You are spending the money to save on FUEL. Road Tax is a different category.
Well, if the diesel price is about $4.20 in CA, and you pay $0.18 in taxes for your WVO, you are still $4.02 ahead of the game(and diesel is going up every day). I understand that you have to spend money to install second tank system, which will cost you anywhere from $700.00 if you do it yourself to about $5,000 or so if you have someone else do it for you, plus some 55 gallon barrels and some pumps, and some time to collect oil and ETC, but in my opinion, it well worth the time and you will be ahead of the game in just few months (depends on how much oil you would use. I use about 20 gallons per day, so do the math). The only thing I would like to see is for our government to use road taxes where they belong – to fix the roads.
Only 75.00 a shot here too.So, you put in what they tell you or you can't use your card twice. I had to use my card twice, 75.00 the first time, 37.00 the second time. I got wife and 3 kids, i haven't seen 112.00 in my wallet in 8 years.
Now the question is: Does the credit card company put the limit on the fuel purchase or does the seller? The reason I ask is I called Discover card and told them I wanted a $200 limit on my card for fuel. It has not stopped at $75 since at any station I have used (though I have not tried many because I use a fuel card at a cardlock almost all the time). Perhaps, where I have tried my Discover card, the station doesn't have a fuel limit and I just think Discover has upped fuel purchase limit for me...
I talked to local gas station that I have an account with, they said that credit card companies do the limit. Gas station owner would like to sell more fuel anyways, so they would not limit it to $75.00. And I think if you use debit card it is only $50.00 (49.55 +0.45 transaction fee paid to the gas station).

I understand what your saying, but if a fellow down the street is doing the wvo setup and saving himself money and not going to the pump as often(demand), great for him, i,m not upset. He,s reuseing resourses, he,s cutting down the demand for fosil fuels. Another good point is what the other fellow said, do you got a problem with these electric and hybrid cars that use less fuel which in turn pour in less tax dollars.

But that doesn't negate the wear on the road, does it?
Hybrid I have no issue with. Just as I have no issue with a VW Jetta that gets 50mpg. Electric I put in the same category as untaxed WVO or Bio
I understand taxes pay for road repairs but give me me a break, if i,m going out on my own and reusing waste products that nobody wants, whats next. We now got a tire tax 4.00 for the state not including the disposal fee. If the government can't tax it, its illegal, plain and simple.
They do charge tax on contraband items such as drugs and things of that nature. So if you get caught with them on top of it being a felony they get you for tax on it too.. How do you like that?
Depending on what state you are in, if you're "caught" running WVO or Bio and can't show proof that you paid road tax, you can legitamately be fined, or assessed a road tax. I understand where aklim is coming from, but at the same time I do feel that if enough folks had the capability to say screw the oil companies by running bio co-ops or running wvo, which I'll add is getting harder and harder to come by because of the explosion on bio in the past few years, that maybe, just maybe, the price of damn diesel would go down to where it SHOULD be, not needs to be, but SHOULD be. Lesser grade fuel costing more at the pump is just horse $#!^ !!!!
