Biodiesel

anyone know a lot about this subject? Diesel just hit 4.20 here and I know its just gonna get worse. I got places to get the fryer oil from. Who makes the best kit for making it? Am I going to have any kind of seal problems or dp tuner problems?

It might be a good idea for me to go to a different site to for this topic i guess. Just wondered what ya had to say! Thanks

Make one yourself, check this site out for different setups and recepies – or just run SVO like I do (just started) Journey to Forever: Hong Kong to Cape Town Overland - An adventure in environment and development, join us on the Internet, all welcome, participation, online education, school projects, free of charge
Also check your state's laws, such as license requirements to collect oil and to pay road taxes.

In the state of CA it is only $0.18 per gallon, and you know, who counts? But you have to have state license to collect oil and $2,000,000 liability insurance. You may not sell it to anyone other then licensed biofueler to help you with the cost either. So, good luck with your project. (it applies to CA, check laws with your state, they may be different on collecting, but I am pretty sure they would want your road taxes anyway).

I know here in pa. state reps (thiefs) want to raise tax,s on fuel because thier worried about all these hybrid- electric vehicles coming on the road that thier going to loose big time tax money. Thier even considering charging you by the mile, so if you drive 35,000 miles a year you pay a tax on that 35,000 at the end of that year.. What a crime. Sorry to get off base here but i,m sure if pa. found out about somebody home brewing they would find a reason to shut them down. I,m ticked, i just filled my truck up and it cost me $112.00, this b**ws big time.

Only 75.00 a shot here too.So, you put in what they tell you or you can't use your card twice. I had to use my card twice, 75.00 the first time, 37.00 the second time. I got wife and 3 kids, i haven't seen 112.00 in my wallet in 8 years.

I have wife and only one baby (6 weeks old), but the only time I see $100 is when we go baby shopping, and even then, it is coming out of my wife's purse.
Started doing SVO, hope it will help a little.

You do realize that the tax is mostly road tax which goes to pay for the road you damage when you drive. Now if there is some other sales tax, that is a different story.

I understand taxes pay for road repairs but give me me a break, if i,m going out on my own and reusing waste products that nobody wants, whats next. We now got a tire tax 4.00 for the state not including the disposal fee. If the government can't tax it, its illegal, plain and simple.

So where is the argument? You were supposed to pay for the road damage.

Why? Why do you deserve a break?

So what? That means that you cause no wear and tear?

Aklim, what do you think about road taxes for people that drive hybrids, or better yet, cars that drive on natural gas that they fill up in their own garage, electric cars? I am not against taxes, at least in CA it is only $0.18 per gallon, but I would sure like to see them being used to fix roads, because roads here are terrible.

This is getting good, If you hooked up a wvo system in your garage and on your truck, the whole reason your spending all that money is to save yourself pump prices, correct. Your missing the point.

Hybrids are making more efficient use of their fuel is all because of regenerative braking. Natural gas and electric cars are quite different. Not sure if NG pays road tax or not but I would say that they should along with electric.

After all, I don't see why those who cause wear on the road should not be held accountable for their wear.
