302 or 351W?
Howdy...I gotta freind who owns a '93 ranger. He is looking to make it "extreme", but can't decide if wants to swap in a 302 or a 351w. I think the 351w, but he is leaning toward the 302. ANy help/opinions? Thanks in advance!

302 or 351W?
Either will make a range dance. A lot depends on him and the truck. Keep in mind that the Windsor is a taller wider motor than the 302 and may cause some clearancing problems. If clearancing is not a problem, than the Windsor is the better motor, it will develop more power, without sacrificing low end torque, than the 302.

all said is correct, but the 302 is a Windsor engine too. So are all the engines listed in the confrence title. It would be possible to have a 302 Modified, this is typically called the Boss 302, since it has Cleveland heads on a modified block.
