tranny problem E4OD e-150 van

I have a 1994 e-150 van with a 351 in it , recently when driving the trannsmission works fine until it gets warmed up to full temp , up shifts and downshifts perfect , after driving a little while the tranny will just like lose overdrive , it will be like it in neutral until you floor it , go to stop and go again it shifts harsh , i can stop turn it off/on and go again it will work fine for a ways , it doesnt always do it if you are really easy on it it never will do it , im stumped any help would be great ,i hear it could be a sensor

Have you tried changing the fluid and filter? Good starting point in my opinion!

yeah im going to try that the fluid looks and smeels really good , ill give it a shot thanks

check your MLPS or transmission range sensor it could need replacing. Bad ones will cause "neutraling out", transmision goes to neutral then back into gear again. Check the plug, it needs to be clean and tight.
