Well not the whole thing, just the bracket that holds the fuel bowl cover.
I did clean the engine also.

This is with bracket off.

This is with painted bracket on. I used flat hi-temp paint.

This is with cover on.

This one is because I took it.

Thanks guys. I do have an advantage, I bought the truck new and kept it this way all the whole time. In fact, all the vehicles I have owned, I kept this way. Back when we could see the valve covers, I used to wax them and everything else under the hood.

I think that it would take a week and a chit load of Simple Green to get my engine to look like that. Good job Rick

Rick,

Why don't you have your filter cover on? Are you afraid it will get dirty.

Cleanest engine I have seen.

I didn't have a pic without Pete's cover, so I wanted to get one so I could post one when someone ask about the 6637.

Looks awesome Rick!

I'm in the process of cleaning my "new to me" block to go into my truck in the next few weeks. Let me tell you, 9 years of the stock intake, CCV, pedistal, and i/c boots has really taken a toll on it! I used an entire spray bottle of the Simple Green concentrate and it barely took any grease and crud off. I'm going to have to scrub the heck out of it before I start putting my parts back on!!
