Need Something Not Too Loud..................

..............for a 2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 2WD 5.4L and automatic tranny. I am thinking about getting Dynatech SuperMaxx header/catalytic converter system (Summit part# DTC-122-842200) backed by a Gibson Split Rear System (Summit part# GIB-9505). My question, are the Gibson exhaust systems loud? The muffler in the picture looks to be a decent size so I am wondering if it is tolerable/kinda quiet.

They can be, I'm pretty sure they are straight through designs. I am pretty sure that cat system will not work for your application, it says it is for 4wd, and you do not have 4WD. That makes a huge difference on newer Fords. I would recommend finding another system that is listed specifically for your application, or you will have fit related issues.

Thanks Bear River. I will contact Dynatech and see if they have a header/cat system for my father's truck. My Dad is ol' skool, so he likes his exhaust systems quiet enough to not wake up the neighbors in the morning. Though, he can tolerate a little rumble. Plus, I can always add resonators.
