Hmm, all these "broken" wires make me wonder if I have them too...

Just went and looked at mine and I have the same problem. Hope this is not a huge issue because I can't be without my DP, it just doesn't feel the same.

I just went and looked at mine. It is definitely not looking like the one's described and/or the one pictured. My red wire is sandwiched in a different row in the connector than the others, but it is totally intact.

I havnt had any problems so far, when I first saw it there were still 2 strands that werent broken, but after continuing to look at it and wiggling the wire to see if it had any effect, the final two strands broke (I know I shouldnt have been playing with it).

Hopyfully Jody or Diane can chime in and give me alittle comfort that Im not gonna fry anything. Since its not effecting anyting right now though Ill probably leave it installed.
OK, I just got word from Dennis at ITP Diesel. Apparently this cable can still be used. More great customer service, he is sending me a replacement in the meantime. These are his words. You can install the one you have temporarily, just locate the same wire at the other end and carefully clip it. It's part of the shield ground and was "overkill" when it was done.

Thanks for the reps. Just hope this eases the minds of those with the same problem that are currently driving.
