A/C doesnt work
Went to use my A/C for the first time in about 7 months or so and of course, it was blowing almost hot. Hey! at least it was blowing! Well last time i used it it blew ice cold. Could it just need a recharge? (doubtful 
) Or is the compressor unit bad? any thoughts - Thanks. This trucks been cutting into my pocket book pretty bad lately.

You might check the valve on the side of the unit near where the fan is (my mind is blank of the correct name), it is mounted on a black cylinder. I replaced mine last summer and it worked out well....

hummmmm low pressure cut out switch? u can jump it out to see if the a/c works!

Is the compressor clutch pulling in when you turn it on? If not it might be out on low pressure switch. Like Greg said above jumper it out ( if clutch pulls in then its most likely low on freon) and add some freon .

check the airgap between the pulley and the clutchplate. min .023, maximum .028 (i think. Its been a while since any AC threads have come around) If the gap exceeds tha maximum, you can pull the clutch and take a shim out (but if your going that far just get a clutch rebuild kit, and replace that sucker)
