Here's my take on this situation ! I'm just going to throw out some numbers here so don't take them as actual facts....
Measuring from wheel well to ground on a 2WD truck is 36" stock........ A 4WD truck is 40" stock.. that is a difference of 4"... Now lift your 2WD truck 6" and lift your 4WD truck 6" and you still have a 4" difference.. 4" is a lot when it comes to looks... (just ask my ex-girlfriend) LOL !!!
What I'm getting at guys.... Is a 2WD truck will always be lower than a 4WD .. no matter if you are comparing 4"lifts or 6"lifts... They'll always be lower...
If you want a truck to look like a 4WD drive............. buy a 4WD !!!!!!
A couple of you guys on this this thread are real masters of bringing something positive through your posts. Thank god the vast majority of the FTE community operate differently. Otherwise, this would be just another "I'm better than you and aim to prove it though my posts" type of forum. You know the kind...mostly dominated by middle school kids tearing each other down as they find their identity.
In my case...selling my Super Duty 4X4 and buying the current 2wd was a wise decision. Enjoy...
Kevinpmac...... I was definately not putting you or your truck down... I was just trying to put this thread to bed and put another perspective on it... Your decision to get a 2WD is yours... I was just pointing out to everyone that a 2WD truck will always be lower (even with a lift in it) than a 4WD truck... Just the facts that some people may have been missing in their comments.
