With 256/75 I currently average 17-18 MPG mixed and almost always +21 MPG highway running mine on DP-Tuner 80 Economy setting. I'm hoping not to loose too much (at $4.00/gal) with the 35's installed.
I appreciate all the feedback and will be sure to post follow up data and SOP results when the bigger shoes hit the ground.
I love all my tunes I have. 80E is my daily driving tune and if i want to play a little, I can still light'em up in 80E
Strokinit im kinda intersted in what you said when u get it done post up how it does for you
Well...I finally got the 35's installed today. It did make a small small, but noticable difference. I can tell it takes longer to run through each gear as I accelerate.
Truck remains strong, and I can still light em up from a roll. I can now report that T/A KO's are really loud while burning rubber.
Next on the agenda is getting the ABS module flashed at the stealership to correct the difference in size.
2wd or not.....that's a leveling kit. Not a 6" lift, no way......no how. This is my truck with a 6 1/2" lift with 35's. It seems just a wee bit more then 1/2" taller lol
I can only assume you missed "this is what a 2WD looks like with 6" lift" before jumping in and making the remark? Am I wrong and you have seen a few?
actually i have, and they all looked taller. now i'm not knocking it, you have a sharp truck. i'm looking around trying to decide which lift i want to put on mine, and while i have 4wd and you dont, the overall lift should be similar. just the method of raising is different. i've played around in the driveway, jacking up mine and resting it on jack stands to get a feel for the height, and 6" seemed a lot taller. and i'll refrain from assumptions since they are mother of all f'ups.
Travis, here is the Pro Comp part number to help you round out your knowledge base lol: K4021B.
Thanks for that. Although I think driving lifted trucks for 20 years has pretty well "rounded out" my knowledge.
One thing you might answer for me though.......on your 2wd, are the leaf springs underneath your axle instead of on top? I have never really looked at one closely. I have seen many of the ground pounding mall crawler lifted 2wd trucks in Phoenix on the road but never looked at springs. I think you are taking all of this the wrong way, we aren't making fun of your truck, just stating it doesn't look like a 6 inch lift. Whether a truck is 4wd or 2wd.....lift height should look the same when LIFTED. Your truck looks sharp, especially with that front-end conversion, but the lift really resembles a leveling kit.

Same as 4X4 with spring on top. The 6" 2wd lift kits add 6" in the front and 3" in the rear via add a leaf and a 1 1/2" spacer. Net effect is about a 2-3" lift when compared to a 4X4. My last truck was a 2000 4X4 with leveling kit and this one is noticably taller according to my boat trailer.
Well I learned 2 things tonight I guess! Didn't know they had coils OR twin I beam on any 99-04 trucks! I owned a 97 stroker 4x4 with twin I-beam. Hated it.....but the truck was a BEAST
