Well...it's kind of a difficult story.

A friend of mine (lets call him Billy) bought it from a friend of his (lets call him Joe) to use the engine in his (Billy's) truck to replace the 400 that is in it. But once all the MSD crap came off Billy's 400, it ran great so he didn't need the Bronco any more. I jumped on it because I wanted something for fourwheeling. A 460 is something I've always wanted anyways. Billy and Joe are fairly good friends, so I doubt any misleading was going on.

Even if I do have to spend a few (thousand) bucks on a rebuild, I figure it will be worth it, as the engine will stay with me for a long, long time....long after the Bronco's frame/body is toast...

Just mild for now.

.030 over (466ci)
15cc dished pistons (10-10.5 compression ratio)
CompCams Roller tip rockers (already have)
Edlebrock Performer 460 intake (already have)
Holly 650 (will get the Truck Avenger 770 sometime soon)

Keith Black/KB Pistons KB206030-8 - Keith Black Hypereutectic Pistons - summitracing.com

Still undecided on a cam. Might go with the CompCams Xtreme 4x4 grind or the Lunati 61601

COMP Cams: Ford 429, 460 Xtreme Energy XE256H Cam & Kit

Lunati 61601LK - Lunati Voodoo Cam and Lifter Kits - summitracing.com

You ever get that thing back together?

Which cam did you decide on? I've been looking heavily at the second one.
