557ci Cam Range ?????
Going from a 460ci to a 557ci how much RPM will I lose in the Camshaft range ? As one person has stated 500 RPM and another person has said 1000 RPM, As with that Lunati solid camshaft the operating range is 4,400 to 7,000 RPM. Im only guessing but i am saying around 800RPM the camshaft will come down, am I right ???

well it would also depend what else you did
heads, intake, compression??/ If you've changed nothing else except the displacement you'd likely be in that 1000 rpm lower range.
and your peak HP would likely not be much more than the smaller motor.

Hello Littlehusky, 557ci build includes these parts, Scat 4-500 crank,Scat 6-7 H beam rods, KB860 forged pistons- 080 & 11-4-1 compression, 1050 Dominator, victor intake, Lunati solid camshaft specs- lift 610/625-AD 314/320- @050 272/279, Edelbrock 61649 Cobra jet alloy heads- so hopefully will pull some good horsepower on dyno when built, so how many RPM will cam range come down ????
