Drove 640 miles round trip for this baby with a ton of tools...most never been used. I can't tell ya what I paid

What are some of ya'lls best scores when it comes to anything tool/garage related?

Great find. Unfortunately unable to take pic's at this time because 1 item is currently being used to support disassemble project and the other item is stored behind it. Found an ad in Craigs list for a 40T press, not particularly looking for one but thought since in the area might as well check it out. Apparently the couple were breaking up and the women felt it was an opportunity for 'pay back'. Purchased the heavy duty quality 40T press in great condition, practically giving it away, and then said if interested she would throw in a box of various sizes and shape press plates and accessories. Had been pricing and the plates were worth more than what she sold the press for. When she took me into the gargage to pick out the plates sitting next to the box was a heavy duty Lincoln floor jack, also in great condition, and if interested she would be asking $50. At this point I started feeling little guilty but it only lasted couple seconds, ended up with press, assortment of press plates, and a Lincoln floor jack, high 5-ing all the way home.

Nice, Crazy. Now I know where to go when I need some tools. Sometimes you can get good deals on clist. Just bought a running 292 and trans out of a 64 F100. Guy is going to put in a Mercedes diesel for bio-fuel.

I actually picked this up from a guy on Pirate 4x4. Guy bought it in March of this year from the Mac truck (list price $4100). I got it for 1/4 of that with all the tools!

Now, I'm the kind of person who cannot find ANY deals on CL. I've been looking for an equipment trailer recently...and dang! It'd be cheaper to buy new than from CL...

When it comes to power tools don't think I would look on CL. Being a tool fanatic prefer purchasing new; although, have purchased a few used brand name power tools on ebay and very pleased how well they continue to hold up. Speaking for myself, prefer used brand name over HF. Been looking for another enclosed trailor, the used ones I checked out on CL were at best in fair condition so decided to purchase another new.

You know sometimes you just need to drive around. I found my boss a trailer just by driving thru a nieghborhood. It turned out to be a trailer made by Iron OX. Around here that is top notch. He ended up only paying 500.00 for a 2,500.00 trailer. If you knew the whole story, a few years ago, he paid 1000.00 for a a **** ant 6 foot trailer. The Iron OX was so much much better in so many ways, I can't even count.

Tell me about it! I found a nice trailer (from the looks of the small pictures), so I call the guy and stop by to check it out. It's a tri-axle, 20' long equipment trailer. As I get closer, I notice it has mobile home axles, has been recently painted with a brush, and is home-made! The welds were scary. One weld was broke, and all they did was re-weld it a inch below the original booger-weld. The deck had holes in it....I wouldn't even feel comfortable standing on it.

Guy wanted $2500 for it...LOL

And yet I had people giving me grief about asking $1500 for a professionally built dual axle car hauler with a 10k capacity.
