Will the banks transcommand not work with DP. I was thinking of ordering it when i order my DP. Does anyone use the transcommand? I don't want to beat up my tranny after i add more power to it so i thought the transcommand was a good idea.

I would discuss this personally with Jody. That is one of the big advantages with buying a customer tuner. Take advantage of it.

The DP is a great chip it controls the trans much better than the trans command. Although the trans command only helped it to shift faster and didn't control the lock up of the torque converter as the DP does. That makes a huge difference. I think that the 80 econo tune is pretty comparable to the banks 100 horse chip that I had in the truck. I did pull off my trans command and it is sitting on the bench next to the chip. So far I am very satisfied with the DP. I want to try and drive in the 80 setting to see if my milage will improve. But that may be a while till the 120 and 140 settings wear off a bit.

If you really want to do what's best for your tranny, put in a kit or custom VB, and an auxiliary cooler. THEN put in the tuner. The difference is well worth the effort.
