Looks like the real thing there!I have seen several Rangers and for some reason they were all automatics but I think this one proved me wrong!I have seen a real Ranger with automatic and a six banger in it from factory.I have pictures of it posted in my gallery. It was for sale years ago at the Run To The Rock F-100 show.Is the tank cover still there?
Russ, I didn't see the cover on the tank, I'm going back tomorrow to take more pics, what exactly should I look for as far as the tank cover goes?
Thanks to everyone, this site is a wealth of info, I catch myself on here every night reading all the different posts, keep it up guys. (and gals) Barry
On 1965 the cover was vinyl and 1966 it was carpet.Check the picture in my gallery. The fender emblems should have Ranger in them instead of Twin-I-Beam.
Yes,I believe it could be done if you had all the right parts John.I had everything except the console at one time and was going to make mine a Ranger but sold all the parts. It is kinda hard to change that interior trim code though if someone really knows what to look for.You remember that truck up at the Rock?He had all the documentation on the truck when new!
I remember it, and also know that darn few know about the body code. I think if I had the parts and wanted one, I would build it.
The thing that troubles me is, I bought a 66 half ton titled by door tag VIN F25***** that the state of North Carolina sold me plates for. It came to me with a 3 spd. that I pitched along with the front suspension, for an auto tranny, PDB & PS from a 76 half ton, and I come here to find folk ga ga over politically correct numbers that are about as useless as teats on a boar hog.
Customcab... I got the book off of ebay several years ago...an ultra rare piece Im sure as its in its original binder and all...one of the gems of my literature collection which has obviously paid off well.
I would however love to get my hands on the same thing but for model year 1965.
