Found a 64 or 65 Custom cab for sale has bucket seats & console in it, also has a big grille guard. Does this truck sound like it has the ranger option, it has a 240 3sp someone took away the column shift and put it on the floor. All the bodyside trim has rivets holding it on. Rusted out tailgate, the truck runs but has a cracked exhaust manifold. Is there somewhere I could look that tells about custom cab option as well as ranger options? I could possibly purchase the truck for under $2000. Thanks
Yeah...go look in my gallery...I have the details on both from a salesmans book I have....Also, go look on the door tag...take a pic or jot the info down and post...I and a couple of others on here can break it down and tell you if it is a factory Ranger package truck
Bill; I recall you also mentioning a all True Ranger packages where Automatic? I beleive he mention it being a 3spd originial column, now floor shifter.

Don; what's the cover of your salesman book look like? I would like to get my hands on a copy some day.
I like the hood ornament, looks better than you described it. Depends on the under carriage condition for me to pay around 2k. I did pay that much for my 65 model; but very soild and lack of rust was my motivation to spend that much.
Defentialy has a 65 grille & customcab feature & camper special bed.
Here's what i can decode:

I had a 65 Ranger 3/4 ton auto,FE, with Black interior...699100...also a KC build...as I said HAD...
I noticed one other thing... since this truck is a 115" wb truck...its impossible for it to be a CS...the side toolbox Im assuming you are thinking makes it a CS bed was optional on 64 up trucks...long AND shortbeds...Ive seen one other SB toolbox...its now sitting in my shed awaiting a new home

After seeing the pictures I would love to have the seats and console to install in my 65 F-100.
I was wondering about the color name...I didnt get that from the parts book btw...got that off of the ID breakdown list on here...Ive had it for a good while.
question Bill...What are the name/s for the C codewhite...my beast is a CM code rig...
Bill; my fault on thinking you mention Ranger's only came Automatic; I mixed up your reply the other day on my thread about the codes for Ranger & camper special's. Russ "Leonhran, posted that he only knew of Rangers being auto's.
