a friend of mine has a white 06 f-150 fx4 w/ 16k. the brake dust is causing rust spots all over the sides of the truck. what would be the best way to remove the spots but mostly, how to prevent them from happening? would changing the factory pads to ceramic pads help? any help in this matter would be greatly appriciated!!!!!!!!!
My dad changed out his pads with ceramic ones at about 2,000 miles.
HOLY CRAP...what a difference, he can go 3 months or more without washing the wheels and I can maybe make it 4 days before mine are black again on the stock pads.

I love my ceramic pads.....but they did nothing to stop the rust spots.......my trucks covered in them....springs coming...and so is a claybar to my truck....

The metallic in the pads is what does it. Are your pads completely ceramic or semi-metallic.
Completely ceramic......and yep...its been claybarred.....a guy i know that owns a bodyshop said alot of its from road dust and other cars on the road...
I don't know that he's right....but i guess we'll know after spring is over if it goes away and stays away.....
PS....what do you all use for claybars....i'm tired of the tiny mothers brand one i used last time...i need something bigger or easier to do the whole truck with...
