The setup on my engine is a twin throttle body system from Gas Research Australia. Behind the throttle bodies (connected to the twin 4bl adapter) are twin LPG converters, with two LPG tanks mounted under the cab. LPG is less than half the price of petrol here, and due to it's lower emissions I can get away with doing things to the engine I wouldn't running regular fuel.
The front valance is a local fibre glass creation, I like it too
I heard he had gone out of business, but I'll check. Shipping could be the largest cost though, this would be coming from Melbourne, Aus.
You're right. It would cost a bit in the end. Thanks though. Can't get a production dam for that gen pickup round here. Oh well, more pride in a custom piece.
Thanks brew, for the reminder on how to post pics. Here are a couple of my sons truck that we are restoring and upgrading a little. The first one is a pic of the 86 interior with the power windows and locks that I swapped over. The second is one of us having some fun. No power braking. Used the brake to stage up. Off the brake and on the floor at the same time. My boy loves this pic!!
first attempt at attaching a pic......
doesn't look quite as good now with the hood off and the engine disassembled all over the garage, but hopefully the GT40 heads, BBK headers and the basani y pipe will make it all worthwhile....
First of all, don't let the pic fool you. The tires on the truck smoke really easy. But, it does run like an ape. It is pretty much stock. I have a 600cfm edelbrock 4bbl, single plane intake and true duals. I am going to put a dual plane intake, headers, 2-1/2 inch duals with flowmasters, an MSD ignition, and a shift kit for the C6. Other than that I am going to work mostly on the look of the truck. I have given it to my son. It has been a father/son restoration. So I don't want to get too out of control with the performance. I figure it should be plenty with the mods I am looking at and the right tuning.
