Windows XP / OpenOffice question

I thought I posted this earlier, but I may have done something in my Sunday stupor...

I have my HD partitioned into 3 sections; C,D,E. OpenOffice is installed on C, I want to move it to D. Can I just cut and paste the OpenOffice Folder, or do I need to uninstall it from C and re-install to D?

It is easier just to reinstall it. Copy & paste works if you can edit the registry which I don't recommend to most people (me included).
