towing 4000 lbs.
I have a 98 Explorer Sport 4x4 4.0 OHV 5 speed manual tranny.
I want to tow a 4,000 lb. trailer.
Can the transmission/clutch handle towing that weight? Im worried it might be to much for the tranny to handle.

I'd be more worried about stopping it than pulling it. Putting 2 tons on the tail of a short-wheelbase Ute is probably not a good idea - JMHO.
