Hi all , new to the forum, although not a Ford newbie. previuosly owned a ford f-150 and a Bronco II. Is any one out there towing with a Mazda B4000/Ranger. 4.0 liter/auto 4x2. I have a 2004 B4000, great truck so, interested in knowing about those who are towing travel trailers and your setup.
1998 B4000 4x4 Automatic (with tow package, I think, 3.73 gears, class III hitch) + brake controller and weight distributing hitch.
Towing an 1500lb open steel trailer with a 2500lb car on it. Truck does great. A little more power wouldn't hurt for getting over the rolling hills on 80 in PA, but I've stayed neck and neck with larger trucks pulling the same thing up those hills. Stopping power is ok, I've learned a lot about brake controllers and how to drive with a trailer.

Thanks for the reply, I'm towing a 19' travel trailer, dry weight 3900lbs, I'm still well within the GCWR for truck and trailer, I've also put a set of Riderite airbags on the back suspension, they work quite well. Pretty well have the same setup as you with respect to Hitch and wd, brake controller (manufacturce probably different). I find the truck does well towing but as always more power is surely better regardless of what you drive or tow.
