Max towing capacity

Max towing capacity
Strangely I couldn't find this in a search on here, so was wondering if anyone knows the max my '94 B4000 (4x4, 4.0 liter with manual trans.) can tow. I've got a class III on there, which I've heard can handle a 5000lb trailer with a 500lb tongue, but I'm not sure my truck would all that happy going up that high.

Memorial weekend 2008 my B-4000 went out to camp with 2 GM cars. Only my truck came back. It then went back out to camp with a car dolly and brought them back. It did all this with the rear springs pushing up through the bed due to rotted out rear spring shackels. These are amazing little trucks.

i have a 99 ranger with a 4.0 and auto trans. 2x4 and i have been impressed with what all i have towed with it. i think the heavest would be a 85 or so chevy 
3/4 ton truck on a tow dolly. it strained a lil but over all handled it well. just got to remember that something that heavy will push you hard.
